VTC stands for video tele-conferencing which means two and more rooms connected with the video tele-conferencing equipments through which people can meet to other people round the world. In other words, one can say that video teleconferencing is just like video conferencing but in some extended form in which whole premises is equipped with video teleconferencing equipments. This technique uses the CODEC technology which is used to code and decode the analog signals to the digital signals and vice versa.

There are two types of video tele conferencing often called as VTC, one is point to point video teleconferencing in which one system is connected to another system linearly i.e. there are one to one mapping. Second one is multi point video conferencing; in this type of video conferencing, equipment is connected to many types of equipments. This type of video conferencing is very much used in big organizations and it is control via a special device called MCU i.e. multipoint control unit which controls the whole communication throughout the session.

Thus, it can be said that VTC known as video tele conferencing is nothing but the facility to connect and collaborate with other people world wide.
